Jeremy founded GLS Painters in 2009 while participating in an entrepreneurial workshop (Entrepreneur Works – Philadelphia, Pa). However, the dream of Jeremy being his own boss started many years prior while living in Atlanta, GA with his mother. He grew up watching his Mother paint, decorate and add colorful touches to their home. It was in their DNA, his maternal grandfather was a first class contractor in his own right, investing in real estate as well. Jeremy’s first job was at 10 years old working in a friends barber shop/hair salon sweeping up hair. While $5 a day and a few tips was big money for a 10 year old, he wanted more. So he approached his Mother, who has always had her own business, and asked for some ideas to make some extra money. While men are in and out of a barber chair pretty fast, women on the other hand can spend hours in a salon.
So, the next day Jeremy was armed with homemade sandwiches, desserts and drinks for the ladies and it was a huge success. His Mother taught him valuable customer service skills that he still employs to this day. Always give your customer a great product and service with a smile.
Jeremy endured many trials getting GLS Painters off the ground. In the beginning he was also working a full time sales job, painting nights and weekends. Early on Jeremy endured through trials of mediocre paints and tools. After experimenting with different paint brands he now uses the best! Sherwin Williams.
After going through numerous paint brushes and sprayers, he has found tools that Graco and Woooster products work right the first time. Never content with a job half done, he did and still does whatever it takes to ensure his customers complete satisfaction.
GLS Painters is a fully licensed and insured painting company based out of Sicklerville, New Jersey. We primarily service communities in south New Jersey. We specialize in interior and exterior, residential, commercial and industrial painting. We guarantee our work against all worker defects. On top of our customer guarantee GLS Painters has become a member of the PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors Association). This organization is a group of professionals, committed to excellence.
Being a member of the PDCA means GLS Painters adheres to higher standards than many other painters in the area.
