When it comes to transforming spaces, GLSPainters is raising the bar with one of their exterior painting projects. This ambitious endeavor covers a sprawling 13,600 square feet, featuring a stucco surface treated with a blown finish, elastomerics, and textured coatings applied in two flawless coats. The team is pulling out all the stops, spraying the front, left, and back sides, meticulously painting columns, steps, and the iconic dome, as well as the front sign. Additionally, they’re ensuring no detail is overlooked by painting the ductwork and caulking the building’s bottom edges. This comprehensive approach not only revitalizes the structure but also underscores The Merion’s unwavering commitment to excellence and their eye for detail, further cementing their status as pioneers in special event management and catering in Southern New Jersey.

Preparations:

We began the process by power washing the entire building. The body and foundation of the establishment was soft washed with hyper sodium chloride. We then, cover and wrote down all plants and flowers. Included in the exterior painting package was to repair stucco where needed. Scraped and sanded to remove loose or peeling paint. Any cracks or holes will be caulked as needed (wood trim) and lastly we spot prime bare surfaces as needed.

Paint Colors

The body of this building sets the foundation for the overall aesthetic. Using Ivory Lace SW7013 in a flat finish provides a clean, smooth appearance that is both modern and timeless. To maintain a cohesive look, extending the use of Ivory Lace SW7013 to the capping, back/side doors, gutters on brick (excluding black gutters), downspouts, A.C. units, and ductwork is essential. However, opting for a satin finish here adds a subtle sheen, which differentiates these elements from the flat finish of the building’s body. This slight contrast enhances the architectural details without overwhelming the overall aesthetic. Columns are often focal points, and painting them in Greek Villa SW7551 with a semi-gloss finish can add a touch of elegance. For the lettering on both the building and the sign, Tricorn Black SW6258 in a flat finish offers a striking contrast against the lighter shades of Ivory Lace and Greek Villa.
